Show details

This year the middle school show will be a black box production, a technique which minimizes the technical elements and emphasizes the performance.

We will be using a thrust stage, which creates greater intimacy between performers and audience.

Following a short introduction before each scene, the students will perform 3 to 10 minute scenes from well known plays.

All the performances are directed by Davin Henrikson and produced by Susan Henrikson.

Scenes from the following plays will be presented:

Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and The Tempest

by William Shakespeare

The Importance of Being Ernest and An Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde

The First Man by Eugene O'Neill

Yes, My Darling Daughter by Mark Reed

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck

The Glass Menagerie and A Streecar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams

Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller

The Member of the Wedding by Carson McCullers

The Odd Couple by Neil Simon
