DUVALL – Cascade Community Theatre(CCT) and the River City Players are excited to be wrapping up our 2008 season with a charming holiday season production for the whole family of “It’s A Wonderful Life A Live Radio Play”, written by Joe Landry.

George Bailey finds himself on a bridge railing staring into the icy water below on Christmas Eve. A run

of bad luck has George thinking that everyone would be better off if he took the plunge. That is, until an angel trying to earn his wings appears to show George how wrong he is. An ensemble cast brings this beloved American holiday classic to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. The audience will

be able to witness the behind the scenes pandemonium of the announcers, actors, sound effects, and

even the commercials that were all part of a live radio production.

“We’re pulling out all the stops to make this a memorable family event,” said director Chuck Young.

“The story speaks to the strength of the human spirit and the values of small town America. This year

more than ever we can all relate to hard times and this is a great opportunity to come together as a community for some holiday cheer.”

Cascade Community Theatre asks everyone to take “community” to heart and bring non-perishable food items to the show. Your kind donations will be distributed to regional food banks affiliated with Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Hopelink and Northwest Harvest.

The show is being produced by Tracy Paddock Beam, with technical direction by Steve Borquez, production design by Joe Lee Davidson, and musical supervision by Cy Beam.

Performances will be staged at the Cedarcrest High School Performing Arts Center, 29000 NE 150th

Street, Duvall, WA 98019. Friday and Saturday night shows December 5th and 6th begin at 7:30 PM

and a Sunday matinee December 7th begins at 2:00 PM. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $9 for students and seniors with advance purchase and $15 and $12 respectively at the door.

In partnership with the Duvall Cultural Commission, Cascade Community Theatre is a program of the Cascade Performing Arts Council. For more information call 206-686-0203, or visit www.cascadecommunitytheatre.org.
