DUVALL - One determined individual refuses to be blinded by prejudice and preconception in the hope that eleven others will find a path to justice in the Cascade Community Theatre production of Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose.
The Snoqualmie Valley based theater troupe reaches beyond their previous comedic fare to serve up a thought provoking, intensely high energy drama with sincere passion. Tension builds as the mixed cast of twelve men and women are thrown together to deliberate toward a verdict. The guilt or innocence of the young defendant soon takes a back seat to the bigotry, personal anger and indifference that are exposed in the powerful dialogue and heated exchanges in the jury room.
“Twelve Angry Men is more than great drama,” said the play’s director, Stuart Lisk, “The attitudes and prejudices still have relevance and really make you wonder how far we’ve come, how much further we have to go, and what it might take to get there.”
Performances are Friday and Saturday October 24th and 25th at 7:30 pm and Sunday, October 26th at 2 pm in the Cedarcrest High School Theater, 29000 NE 150th Street, Duvall, WA 98019.
